Wrestling | MOWA

Sounds familiar right?
Maybe not with crowds jeering at us, a referee, an “official” boxing ring and a belt that awaits us but, Yes! We have all wrestled; with fear, anxiety,  sickness and disease, lack, want, emotional outbursts, phobia and an endless list of several hiccuping events.

“Jabbok”. It’s said to be a place of wrestling, where Jacob wrestled till daylight – with his past
Fear of the unknown that lay ahead of him across the river.
Fear of karma catching up with him.
Peter wrestled with guilt at the cock’s crow
David wrestled after his rendezvous with Bathsheba
Samson after his flexing with Delilah

But there’s another form of wrestling
Not against emotions or “feelings”,
Not against 10,000 pound guys,
Not for a belt or cash prize,
Not with referees and rings,
No stipulated “rules of the game”,
No “official game time”,
And not against “FLESH AND BLOOD”.

We all have been there…
We mightn’t have the awesome “jeering” crowds that the “familiar” boxers have
But when the going gets tough and there’s not even a single cheerleader in sight just remember that
You’re surrounded by a “Great crowd of witnesses”
You have an innumerable company of angels
And when the “championship belt” doesn’t look all that shinny,
Remember that Golden crowns awaits you above where it can’t be corrupted
So therefore, STRIP!!!

Dear friend, people see wrestling as bad and violent, they neglect the truths that it reveals…
Our vulnerabilities.
The big question usually dished out is… Why the Hassle?
But the true question is… What’s the Hassle?

With time I’ve learnt that the fight is ours to dominate but the attention and attitude we get from people who should help out makes us drown in the fight.

This life is a tag team match, it’s you and me against the universe…
Yea though, we may lose,
But at least, we fought it together.
Common in SELMA’s “Glory” song says…
‘When it go down we woman and man up
They say, “Stay down”, and we stand up
Shots, we on the ground, the camera panned up
King pointed to the mountain top and we ran up…
No one can win the war individually
It takes the wisdom of the elders and young people’s energy
Welcome to the story we call victory…’
In the concluding lines he asserted that which I believe…
Together, we can win this fight, as one. Victory!
Back to the questions I dropped…
You don’t feel sympathetic when you should be empathetic.
I have problems, you help me and vice versa, that’s how it’s supposed to be. Yes, that’s how I’ll live a thousand years more ; cos for every help I get, it reduces my stress and increases my lifespan… Just a theory.. Unproved though, but what if.. What if it’s the truth?

How many people have you affected? How many more have you increased in age?
Can someone run to you and in all sincerity not be cut off from you totally cos of how you reacted?

These questions and more are what you should consider before typing… Go Die! When someone is deliberating on committing suicide with himself.

It’s our way… But tag team should be our claim as we are one, even one with Christ!

Good day…
